Dean has been smithing since 1977, and first started making iron furniture in 1993 when asked by his brother (who at the time was working for the music industry) to make a bookshelf & curtain poles for his London flat. This inspired Dean to take on bigger and better things, encouraged by his wife Juliet (now a partner in the business) they made a conscious decision to dedicate their forge to all aspects of contemporary iron furniture. Dean says "The ability to transform a concept into reality & produce a unique piece of furniture, gives me a great sense of achievement and immense satisfaction".
